Some tips to troubleshoot webcam problem:
- Ensure that the webcam is plugged, this step is irrelevant if the webcam is already built-in.
- Some webcams require driver software installed in the computer in order to function properly. Most USB webcams adhere to USB video class (UVC) specification, these webcam usually works when plugged without installing any driver as most operating systems already have a generic driver for UVC.
- Open the cap if the webcam has a cap to cover the lens.
